South Auckland Anglican Mission-
                Asssisted Living

An organisation based on Gods Comandments

Jesus gave us very clear comandments on how we are to live our lives here on earth and SAAM-AL as an organisation and its staff will at all times try to live faithfully by his word

  • Comandment 1

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart ans with all your soul and with all your mind"

  • Comandment 2

"You shall love your neighbor as yourself"

Our Mission Statement

SAAM-AL’s mission based on scripture as spelt out by Jesus in Matthew 25:35-40

“for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.”

We will practice the teachings of Jesus he gave us in Mathew 5:38-44

“You have heard that it was said, an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ 39 But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. 40 If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. 41 And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. 42 Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away.
43 “You have heard that it was said, You shall love your neighbour and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,”

We will be people at the well where people come, and we will share the gift of God like Jesus at the well John 4:11-15

“The woman said to Him, “Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water? 12 Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?”
13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”
15 The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw.” “

We will not be prosecutorial; our focus will be on restoration and setting people free with dignity.

We will follow the Lords Commandment’s Matthew 22:37-39

‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’
